Dr. Stephanie Stark , NMD

Naturopathic Physician, Co-founder, and Medical Director

Dr. Stephanie Stark is a licensed Naturopathic Physician. She received her B.S. in Nutrition from the University of Texas at Austin where she was inspired to further her studies into Integrative Medicine. During her schooling Stephanie worked at Whole Foods Market in the Herb & Supplement department. She encountered people on a daily basis who were dismayed with the current healthcare system and sought advice regarding their illness. She was inspired by stories of people taking their health into their own hands and researched how she could make a difference in people’s lives like this, in a deeper way. Stephanie heard discovered that as a Naturopathic Physician she could learn about conventional medicine and alternative treatments while emphasizing education and the least invasive treatment options. In 2005 she obtained her Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine after five years of studies at Bastyr University. During that time, Stephanie worked at Children’s Hospital & Regional Medical Center and in the Dispensary at the Bastyr Center for Natural Health. Her clinical training at Washington’s largest natural medicine clinic, Bastyr Center for Natural Health, included shifts in Family Medicine, Physical Medicine and Counseling; she took elective shifts in Homeopathy and worked at off-campus clinic sites for homeless women and for seniors. She spent hundreds of hours beyond her formal education interning with various Seattle physicians. Dr. Stark received additional training in Primary Care and enjoys seeing patients of all ages and backgrounds. She is especially adept with women’s health, pediatric issues, digestive and thyroid issues. Dr. Stark is active in the advancement of her profession and is a member of several medical organizations (link to Affiliations, below)
Outside of work, Stephanie enjoys spending time with her family & friends, cooking, dancing, and playing tennis.
Dr. Kate

Dr. Kate

As a little girl in Northern Wisconsin, Dr. Kate Sage’s favorite game was playing doctor. Raised in a family of doctors, she always knew in her heart that practicing medicine is where her footsteps would take her.

At the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, WA, Dr. Kate learned more about medicine, including the challenges of being an MD.  Weighing both sides, she opted instead to get a degree in Foreign Language and International Affairs.  Her senior year however, she met her first Naturopathic Doctor and the stars suddenly aligned. Eventually, Dr. Kate attended the National College of Naturopathic Medicine (now called the National University of Natural Medicine) in Portland, Oregon.  In 2009, her dream came true and she became the doctor she always wanted to be.From that point, she worked at a naturopathic family practice in Prescott, AZ.  Through the years she had two beautiful girls and began to enjoy more and more working with children in her practice.  In time, the stars made themselves clear that she would be happiest working with kids ALL of the time.

More work and schooling led to Dr. Kate to becoming a specialist in naturopathic pediatrics.  She is delighted to be living the dream at Blue Oak Clinic where she helps babies, children, and teens grow healthily and live as happily as possible. When she is not doctoring, she loves to run and swim and dance and play music, especially with her husband and girls.
